이날은 안중군 의사가 일제로부터 사형선고를 받은 날이다.

안중근 의사는 1909년 10월 26일 중국 하얼빈 역에서 이토 히로부미를 사살하고 현장에서 체포돼 랴오닝성 다롄시 뤼순구의 뤼순감옥에 수감됐다. 

당시에 그는 대한민국 만세! 라고 외친뒤 경찰에 붙잡혔다

1년여의 수감 생활 끝에 안중근 의사는 1910년 2월 14일 사형을 선고받았고 3월26일 순국했다. 

 

그런데 웃긴일은 발렌타인데이는 1930년 일본 한 제과회사가 사제 발렌티노를 추모한다며 만든

일종의 기념일이다.

 

일본 제과회사 모리나가가 2월14일 하루만이라도 여성이 남자에게 자유로이 사랑을 고백하자는 상술 캠페인을 벌이면서 초콜릿 선물이 시작된 것으로 알려졌다
